Red Light

Interactive Interactive Experience Kinect Playful Projection Mapping Processing

Interactive Installation, 2013
RedLight emerged from the topic of augmented shadows. Shadows that take an unreal shape or appear out of nowhere. We wanted to show a surreal shadow play.

At first sight is seems just like the light beam of an ordinary streetlight. But when coming closer there is a shadow of an erotic dancer accompanying the passer-by. We wanted to make people aware of the different facets urban spaces have and the different protagonists that share those spaces at different times of the day. This had to happen at night so the Kinect was our only option to be able to track people.
